How does the thread vein treatment work?

The Laser light is attracted to the oxy-haemoglobin in the blood. As the light is absorbed in the blood in the vessels a heat reaction is caused which coagulates the blood and destroys the protein in the wall of the vessel. The vessel then breaks them down and the debris is removed by the body's natural waste system. Only veins above the heart respond well to this treatment so lower body whilst can be treated offer less successful outcomes.

Following an free no obligation consultation this will determine if you are suitable for this treatment. On average 2-4 treatments are needed with 4 week intervals for best results. top up treatments may be needed in the future to maintain these results.

Before and After Care.

Whilst the following may seem restrictive, during your consultation we will discuss your future holidays and make a treatment plan accordingly.

Before 

It is important that you stop the use of sunbeds and natural active sunbathing 30 days prior to treatment commencing. SPF 50 should be used daily on the area if you are in the natural sun, going about your daily activities. Any use of fake tan must be 5 days old before treatment.

It is vital for the treatment result that you do not drink alcohol 24 hrs prior to treatment.

After 

Generally, no post-treatment care is necessary. It is recommended to use a sunscreen (minimum SPF 50) for a few weeks following treatment.
